The aim of this research is to determine the representation of education in the Ba'ode oral tradition of the Banggai people through a Saussaurian semiotic approach. This type of research is qualitative with a Saussaurian Semiotic analysis approach. The focus of the research is uncovering the meaning of the message of Ba'ode poetry in the realm of education. The research informants came from traditional leaders, members of the Ba'ode chanters, and several community members who were taken purposively. Data collection was carried out through observation, unstructured interviews and observations. Data analysis uses the Miles and Huberman model. The research results show that the Ba'ode text has a complex semiotic structure, consisting of signifier and signified. The interpretation of this sign is not only individual but also influenced by the cultural context and experience of the listener. For example, "monondok" (good and useful) becomes a marker for moral values and character. These markers form certain patterns and relationships in the text, creating an organized structure of meaning. The meaning of the signifier "sikola" can vary depending on how the listener understands the concept of education in their cultural context. Likewise, words, phrases and sentences that contain educational meaning throughout the Bao'de are analyzed. The Ba'ode oral tradition in Banggai society is not only a manifestation of oral tradition, but also as a guardian of cultural wealth and educational value
